Republicans Join Calls For Answers On McConnell’s Health

health nearly a month after the Kentucky Republican was hospitalized in Washington, D.C.

McConnell, 84, was admitted to the hospital on June 14, but his office has not disclosed the reason for his hospitalization or provided a timeline for his return to the Senate.

In recent days, McConnell’s staff attempted to reassure the public by releasing statements from Senate Majority Leader John Thune, Senate Majority Whip John Barrasso and political commentator Scott Jennings, each saying they had spoken with the senator.

Those statements, however, have not ended calls for additional transparency.
