Republicans Join Calls For Answers On McConnell’s Health

According to Koppell’s post on X, the source said McConnell is alive, mentally alert and recovering physically, although it remains unclear when he could return to Capitol Hill.

McConnell has faced a series of well-publicized health challenges in recent years.

In 2023, he suffered a concussion and fractured a rib after a fall, followed by two highly publicized episodes in which he briefly froze while speaking in public.

He has also experienced additional falls, increasingly relied on a wheelchair because of lingering effects from childhood polio
